Healthy Snacks...


Most snacks are about 100 to 150 calories. Whenever I have to be away for home during the day I make sure I take my snack. Here are just a few that I enjoy:
1 apple and 1 T. reduced calorie Peanut Butter
1 cup fat free yogurt (100 cal) with 10 almonds
15 peanut butter filled pretzels (salt free)
½ banana and ½ cup Jello fat free pudding
1 orange and 2 oz. soy nuts
1 fruit and ½ cup low fat cottage cheese (90 cal)
¼ cup pumpkin seeds and ½ cup apple sauce
½ cup low fat cottage cheese (90 cal) with ½ cup pineapple
1 Lite yogurt (100 cal) with 2 tsp grape-nut cereal
1 orange and 6 oz Lite yogurt (100 cal)

I can't believe it...

I weighed in on Sunday, I lost 2 and a half pounds. Yeah me!!!
I also took the jeans I bought back to the store today and decided I better try some jeans on and make sure they fit. Since I have lost weight I thought I would wear an 8 but they were too baggy. I decided I better just stay at the store and try the jeans on. I couldn't believe that I fit into a 6. The size 6 in the levi's were still baggy in the legs but they fit good around the waist. So I exchanged the two pair of levi's and found some Gloria Vanderbuilt jeans in size 6 long. So I bought two of those as well. I also had to buy some new bras because the ones I have now just don't fit anymore. Dang, I had just bought new bras too. Oh well.

shopping, shopping, shopping...

I went to Kohls today to buy some new jeans.
I wanted some that fit me.
The ones I wear to work are my old ones that are too big.
I wear a belt with them and I am not worried about ruining them.
I bought two pairs of jeans, I have to buy levi brand because they are the only ones I can get in long.
I got home, tried them on, they fit okay around the waist, a little loose.
I have no hips or butt, so they were too big around my thighs/butt area.
Wow, I am going to have to take them back and maybe try a 6.
Wow, I guess muscle really does weigh more than fat.
Yeah me!!!!!!!!!

Paid to Exercise...

I got paid to work out today....I had to push these
and these
for seven hours today. I am sore, tired and don't think my body is cut out to keep this up.
I did have a good workout though, lets hope it shows on the scale next weigh in.
Lets also hope I can get out of bed in the morning.

Just because...

Weigh in...

I weighed in on Sunday...I was a little disappointed because I gained 1 pound.
Darn, I kinda expected it but I have not been eating very well...too much junk.
But I am not going to get down on myself, I am just going to be better.
I think I am getting ready to start my period too, I feel bloated and I ate everything but the kitchen cabinets last week.
So here's to a great week.
I have been thinking alot about my mom lately.
I know she would want me to be healthy and live a healthier life than she did.
I think sometimes we never think the bad will happen to us and then when it does we can't see the damage inside of our bodies so it never really hits us.
I don't know why mom never changed some of her habits, maybe because we never think it is as bad as it really is.
But I have had mom on my mind alot lately and I know she is with me.
I miss you mom.
Also Jen started the biggest loser at her base in Nebraska and she has been working so hard and setting such a great example for her mom.
Jen you inspire me.

Weigh in...

Weigh in was Sunday...I did weigh in and I gained 6 ounces. Not too bad, thought I was going to gain a little more with all the holiday goodies I ate. I have been craving a little junk which I know comes from that lovely time of the month. So, I am trying to be strong. When I have to go to the back of the store to put something back or grab something I always try and run to get my heart beating. I try and stay really busy at work when helping the cashiers...and I pushed carts for 5 hours yesterday. I was really tired when I got home and felt like someone had beat me up this morning. So looking forward to weigh in next Sunday.

I can't believe it...

I had to go shopping on Thursday to get me some new dress pants for my job interview on Wednesday. All my dress pants are too big and I didn't want to look like a clown. Pete and I went to breakfast and then headed out to the stores. I grabbed a couple of size 10's and grabbed a size 8 just for the hell of it to see how much more I had to go....well the size 8 fit and I didn't even try on the size 10's. Yeah for me...I am so excited. I am still wearing my size 10's and 12 to work with a belt, which I had to take in another notch.
Weigh in is tomorrow, I am thinking I will not lose any because I seem to always be a week behind. But I am okay with that because I know I had a few extra goodies for the holidays and we made caramel Pirate Booty for New Years Eve.
I feel so good and I am so motivated to keep going. I am still trying to get to 130 to be the same as my sister. You hear that Cindy?
